Anne Kernan is a London based, multi-disciplinary artist, designer and curator, whose practice spans sculpture, ceramics, photography, graphics and jewellery. She is an RCA graduate and an award-winning artist.
Driven by a deep fascination with objects and their meanings, Kernan’s work explores themes of repetition, secrecy, display and containment. Her work is conceptually led rather than materials driven, and shaped by a lifelong obsession with museums, collections and the language of display. An avid collector, her passion for objects and their narratives is central to everything she does.
Kernan began her creative career in fashion, designing and selling her own clothing line, in the UK and internationally. Seeking formal training, she studied at Cordwainers College, earned a First-Class Honours degree in 3D Design from Middlesex University, and completed her MA at the Royal College of Art.
Her early work as a modelmaker involved creating interactives and exhibits for museums and trade shows. After teaching herself CAD she entered into the luxury jewellery sector, taking on key design roles at De Beers LV and Links of London and expanding her portfolio to include not only jewellery design, but also gifts, trophies, medals, and corporate commissions.
Since stepping away from her full-time role at Links, Kernan has built a thriving independent practice. She continues to collaborate with leading names in the luxury and creative sectors, offering expertise in jewellery design, curation, product development, photography, CAD, visual merchandising, and graphic design.
